Community Clubs and Lunch Clubs
Age UK Oxfordshire manages eleven social community clubs and four lunch clubs throughout the county, all of which offer a fun and welcoming atmosphere, as well as refreshments throughout the day and a hot and nutritious two-course lunch.
All centres are staffed by an organiser, and most have a deputy and volunteers to support them. Our centres are primarily social, and the clients generally need to be able to walk on their own, with limited assistance from others. We provide transport to and from each centre, as well as meals for those who have special dietary requirements.
Community Clubs encourage creative and interesting activities for all, invite guest speakers and entertainers, and arrange outings on a regular basis.
