The Lakes Team Challenge
Bikes, Boats and Boots, 22 September 2007

Take part in the ultimate multi-activity team adventure in the heart of the Lake District. All you need is a team of 3-6 people and lots of enthusiasm! Im one action packed day your team will be challenged with trekking, cycling, and canoeing in and around the beautiful surroundings of Grizedale Forest and Lake Windemere. In this unique physical and mental competition your team will navigate themselves through the course and pick up points along the way

Keep fit and raise vital funds for Age Concern Oxfordshire with our trekking and walking events.

Trek China
27 October - 6 November 2007: An eleven day trek along the Great Wall of China - the trip of a life time!

Trek Peru
29 March - 7 April 2008: Join us for this trek of a lifetime through rain and cloud forests and ancient Inca ruins to the awesome sun gate at Macchu Pichu.

Flora London Marathon
April 2008

The Flora London Marathon is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event and it raises more than £30 million for charities each year. Age Concern has guaranteed places in the race each year and we’d love to welcome you to the team.

All you need to do is raise a minimum sponsorship amount and you’ll receive our great supporter’s package. This includes training tips, fundraising advice and marathon tips, an Age Concern running vest, weekly training emails, invitation to the FLM training weekend, on the day support via our Age Concern cheering point (friends and family are encouraged to join us), food, refreshments, a post-race massage at our after-race reception and a certificate of achievement.

In your community
There are lots of events you can organise in your own community. Are you a member of a club or a group? Could you get together with a few friends or colleagues to organise an event? Here are just a few ideas that you could choose:

Quiz – December 2007
Our brand new quiz week will take place early December 2007. We can give you our exciting and unique quiz pack so that you have all you need to hold your very own quiz night for Age Concern Oxfordshire. Find a venue (why not try your local pub or community centre), invite teams along and watch the donations roll in. Question and answer sheets are all provided along with a guide to organising your quiz, tips for getting in extra fundraising and support from Age Concern.
